Null Pointer Dereference in Mailbox Error Handling
Impact
SOEM version 2.0.0 and earlier has a null pointer dereference vulnerability, allowing a malicious device to crash the master system by sending a specific sequence of messages. The software clears an internal pointer after an error response but attempts to use it if another message arrives before timeout. An attacker can trigger this with two messages.
