What this means
Snipe-IT before version 8.6.3 is vulnerable to LDAP StartTLS downgrade attacks, allowing on-path attackers to capture credentials. The vulnerability occurs due to ignoring the ldap_start_tls() return value in Ldap::connectToLdap(). This allows attackers to force cleartext LDAP binds.
